Make Life Better. Make a Resolution.

Hello. This site is for anyone who wants to make life better. It should be most use to young people in Birmingham who are part of the Resolutions project. Resolutions is a project that starts in the New Year of 2025. You can see more about Resolutions and who is part of it here : About Us.

Resolutions is about young people (mainly aged 12-16 years) doing two things :

  1. having fun and some adventure
  2. thinking about how to make life better. Then making a promise to yourself to take action.

We call the promise you make to yourself to make life better a Resolution. Both the adventure and the Resolution start during the school Christmas break. The Resolution goes on through the year ahead!

You might be part of one of youth groups or schools that is running Resolutions in 2025. If you are, then you can talk to your youth workers and teachers about how to use the site. If your school or youth group isn’t taking part, that’s OK. You can still use the site.

One way to use the site is to look at it for examples and inspiration. You can also use the site to share your Resolution. And the third thing you can do is to ask us to keep in touch with you over the year to see how your Resolution is going.

Can Your Resolution Change the World?

Yes. The detail depends on what you decide of course. But whatever resolution you make, making a promise for yourself will make you think. And keeping a promise for yourself will make you stronger. The world is how it is because of what people think and do. If you change that (even a little), then you are changing the world.

There are all sorts of promise you can make for yourself. Yours is up to you. We’ve put some examples together. We have grouped them as being :

We put things in that order because we wanted to show people can make changes at every level. See more about Your Resolution.

Staying safe online

Two things to do before you share information with anyone online (including through this website) :

  1. Make sure you know how your information will be used and where it will end up – have a look here : About Any Information You Share
  2. Make sure a parent or guardian knows what you are doing.

You can use the site how you like. But if you would like us to keep in touch about your Resolution, then you must have told your parents. And they must give their consent. Which means : they say that it is OK for us to keep in touch.
